Macadamias combined with popcorn make this the best and most addictive party mix! As party snacks go, this one is healthier than most, thanks to the nutrient-packed macadamias and the maple sweetener. So don’t feel too guilty about that extra handful…or two.
Chilli, Lime And Maple Macadamia And Popcorn Party Mix
- ¾ cup whole macadamias
- 2½ tablespoons maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon chilli powder (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Zest of 1 lime (about 1 teaspoon)
- ½ teaspoon salt flakes
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 cups plain popcorn (store-bought or home popped)
Line a large baking sheet with baking paper. Place all ingredients except the popcorn into a large frying pan and cook, stirring often, over low-medium heat for 7-8 minutes, until the macadamias are just golden and sticky. Stir in the popcorn to coat it as much as possible, about 1 minute.
Spread onto the lined tray, spreading it out as much as possible, and allow to cool until the coating is crisp. Serve when cool or store in an airtight container.
