On her birthday Melissa Braham, from the northern English town of St Helens, received a new smartphone. It was a fine sunny day so she decided to take her dog for a walk. At the same time, she tried out the camera on her new phone. She shot a few short videos and took a few snaps, one of which was at the entrance to the town’s local park, Victoria Park.
Melissa says, “Later on in the evening I uploaded the photography to my PC to have a look at it. It was whilst looking through the still photos that I spotted on one of them what appears to look like a tiny humanoid-shaped figure walking from right to left.”
She hadn’t noticed the object at the time she took the photograph but when she enlarged the photo she was amazed at what she saw. A small white object looking as though it was walking across the path. It was not a cat or a fox nor, indeed, like any animal she had ever seen.
“Now I am not saying,” Melissa continues, “that the object is a tiny living and breathing being of some kind, but looking at the enlargements of the object one can clearly see what does resemble a bipedal creature of some kind: a head, eye, body, arms, legs, hands and feet can clearly be seen.”
It doesn’t appear to be some kind of a flaw in the digital shot – the strange alien-like creature’s shadow can clearly be seen. So perhaps it was a cardboard cut-out placed there by someone playing a joke, or perhaps a toy or a model left behind.
However, says Melissa, If someone left it planted there for a joke, a model, toy or cardboard cut out, then why didn’t I see it and surely some eagle-eyed little kid would have spotted it and kept it for themselves?”
In addition, had it been a piece of card, surely the wind would have blown it over. And how would it stand upright? There are no signs of any kind of support visible in the shot.
Melissa has sent the photograph for expert analysis.
In the past, Merseyside, the area of England where she lives has had more than its fair share of UFO sightings and has been described by one amateur spotter as “a hot-bed of UFO activity.”
So what exactly did Melissa photograph? A prank, an illusion… or is it really an alien from another planet?
