A serial pitch invader has struck again at another international sporting event, this time targeting the world’s most successful sporting team, the All Blacks.

A notorious pitch invader who calls himself ‘Jarvo’ has made another tilt at international fame by jumping the fence and joining the All Blacks international rugby team as it stood listening to the New Zealand national anthem before their test match against Wales at Cardiff.

Jarvo, the serial pitch invader

As the Kiwi anthem began playing at Principality Stadium, cameras panned down the line of All Blacks players but came to rest on the final, somewhat podgy figure in the lineup — someone who was clearly wearing the revered black jersey but also sporting a mask.

Daniel ‘Jarvo’ Jarvis, a serial pitch invader, had slipped over the fence out of the watching crowd before boldly jogging past a security guard to join the All Black lineup in the pre-match formalities.

He joined the All Blacks to stand coolly beside reserve prop Tyrel Lomax and managed to stay on the pitch for almost a minute before security twigged to the fact that he was a fake.

In August, ‘Jarvo’ left the Indian cricket team doubled over in laughter after he casually waltzed onto Lord’s alongside Virat Kohli and his teammates.

At the time, England was 3/216 when players returned from lunch on day three, but nobody noticed a twelfth man stroll onto the field with the Indian team.

Donning an Indian test jersey he walked towards the pitch and began waving his arms and ordering changes to the Indian field. When challenged by security, he pointed to the Indian emblem on his shirt trying to argue that he was a member of the team.

He also managed to inveigle his way onto the pitch during a recent NFL game in London.
