With a fresh start to the New Year upon us, what better time to shake things up and try something different?
When it comes to wining and dining this month, Shangri-La hotels across Hong Kong are keeping things fun and exciting with new menus and novel experiences. We promise that you won’t miss dining out with some of these amazing stay-in dine-and-drink-at-home options.
From a unique-to-Hong Kong drive-thru escapade to a buffet in the comfort of your own home, there really is something special for all tastes and all needs. You can even bring your favourite cocktails and mocktails to drink at your place. Here, we round-up five “must-trys”.
1. Sip Award-winning Cocktails at Home
If you can’t go to the bar, bring the bar home to you! One of Asia’s 50 Best Bars, the Lobster Bar and Grill, is offering up their elevated, expertly-curated cocktails in take-home glass bottles. You can pick from the venue’s most beloved concoctions handcrafted by their bartenders, including one of our personal favourites, the Good Omen, made with Anatto Rum, homemade Dry Vermouth, homemade Grapefruit Curacao, and Grenadine Syrup. Cheers!
Pick-up and delivery options available between 11:30 am to 8:00 pm, with orders taken through WhatsApp. Click here for the full menu and details.
2. Grab Your Meal at a Drive-thru
There’s something delightfully cool and novel about a drive-thru experience in a city where they are a rarity. Drive by, roll down your window, and pick yourself up a gourmet meal box from the Kowloon Shangri-La’s drive-thru where authentic international dishes, including the likes of Cantonese Barbecued Pork, Pad Thai, and Vindaloo Lamb Curry can be ready and waiting in just 30 minutes.
Orders taken from 11 am to 9 pm daily, through WhatsApp. Click here for the full menu and details.
3. Be the First to Experience a New Signature Menu
For those looking to inject some newness and sophistication into their dining routine, book in to try the latest signature menu at The Kerry’s Hung Tong. Combining traditional Cantonese cuisine with global ingredients and cooking methods, Executive Chef Ken Yu offers an unexpected dining experience full of classic dishes, redefined. The incredible harbour view is the cherry on top of a special meal out.

4. Embrace Dry January with Exceptional Mocktails
If you’ve decided to embrace a dry (or drier) January this month, the Lobster Bar and Grill’s impressive No/Low ABV drink menu is sure to make meeting your goals all the easier. Expertly curated by the Lobster Bar team and featuring non-alcoholic spirits from Lyre, the drinks menu allows you to delight in seriously delicious cocktails, sans hangover. Our must-try? Lyre’s ABV Italian Spritz, made with Aperol-Infused Pine Needles, Chilled Shiso Tea, London Essence Grapefruit and Rosemary Tonic Water. Chin-chin!

5. Bring the Buffet Experience Home
Bring the indulgent buffet experience home thanks to Island Shangri-La’s cafe TOO Deluxe Takeaway Buffet Box. Choose two starters, two soups, two Western dishes, two Asian dishes, and an assorted dessert sampler and have yourself a feast fit for kings in the comfort of your own home. For those who really want to take indulging to the next level, we say go for it and add a Sushi and Sashimi Platter and a Seafood Platter to your order too.
