About Ayu Mudiasih
Ayu’s more than 20 years of industry experience began with Mandara Spa in Bali, under the tutelage of Jeff Matthews. For 11 years she was successfully involved in spa operations and management in spas across Indonesia and Malaysia, before moving to Energy Day Spa to better understand the Day Spa sector of the industry. In 2007 she launched her own spa equipment and consulting company, Cemara Ayu Sdn. Bhd. She holds a certificate in Executive Development Program from Cornell University, USA where she majored in Spa Management. She is also involved with spa education through her work with IBD (UTM) and has held Board positions in both the Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA) and Malaysian Association of Wellness and SPA (MAWSPA). Ayu is currently an active board member of Asia Pacific Spa Wellness & Coalition in her capacity as Director of Membership. Her recent international engagement is being the Malaysian ambassador of Global Wellness Day.
Tell us about your involvement in Global Wellness Day?
I am GWD ambassador for Malaysia and been introducing GWD to my network in the country.
What makes you smile or brings you joy and why?
Helping those that need help.
What is your daily wellness routine?
I drink lots of water, sleep at 10 PM, spend time with family, promote eco-friendly produce, eat healthy food, walk as much as I can.
What is your favourite quote or affirmation?
Be thankful for what you have and you will end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
Describe how you achieve mindfulness
Being content with my life, feeling happiness as much as possible, being grateful for what I have.
What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness means living well, living healthy, living happy.
Where do you find inspiration?
Nature, children, people that are living life in small and removed places — and the internet.

Sexually Woke, it inspires me of what women have to go through in their life.
