About Ginna

Ginna Valderrama is a Wellness Coach and Colombian businesswoman residing in Costa Rica, with more than eight years of experience in the beauty, entertainment and special events industry focused on Wellness. Owner of Connected Black House, integral wellness house (beauty salon, spa and special events) Project Director at Targot Costa Rica, boutique advertising agency and co-founder of the Latin American digital magazine BIENESTAR FIT LATINOAMERICA.

Tell us about your involvement in Global Wellness Day?

I have been part of this beautiful project for two years now and I always try to be present at events that are consistent with my life purpose, which is to connect with others. My participation in the GWD is very mediatic since I am dedicated to press, communication and social media management, I connect with other people so that with their voice they can contribute a grain of sand in their area of ​​influence.

What makes you smile or brings you joy and why? 

The small great details of life make me smile, like getting up and seeing my husband by my side, feeding my pets, the aroma of a delicious coffee, being able to have health, a home and the blessing of being a mother.

What is your daily wellness routine?

When I wake up the first thing I do is give thanks When you wake up grateful for your life your day becomes magical and miraculous. I love to leave my bed ready. If you manage to keep your rest space clean and tidy you can achieve everything in life. I start the day in motion, generally stretching before going for a walk; I share a good breakfast with my husband, work in a space of harmony, read, meditate in prayer and close the day gratefully. That is my intention every day.

What is your favourite quote or affirmation?

Intentional rather than habitual. An intentional life is a transcendent life.

Describe how you achieve mindfulness

Focus. I am a person who likes to do many things, get involved in everything, the key to mindfulness is to focus on your priorities.

What does wellness mean to you? 

Human beings are spirit, soul and body. Wellness is a perfect balance of these three areas.

Where do you find inspiration? 

In the disconnection of ideas and in the clearing of the mind. Let your mind flow and nothing influence it and you will find the inspiration you need, as it comes from you.

What are your go-to wellness apps and/or podcasts? Why?

I love challenges so I have an application called 21 Days of Wellness Challenges; it helps me maintain my adventurous spirit.
