Tell us about your involvement in Global Wellness Day?
I’ve been Key Supporter for a while and now I am Ambassador for France together with Riadh Bouaziz and Carole Primat. Very exciting events are taking place in France this year. We have a well-being farmers’ market in southern France offering aromatherapy, posture, facials and massage workshops. We have giveaways from Mentorshow offering limitless online classes with the greatest French Chefs, but also a fitness and lifestyle programme with Tibo Inshape and a Meditation/relaxation class with Dr Christophe André (France meditation pioneer). Also, thanks to a beautiful synergy with Bleu Blanc Coeur Association, I am moderating a panel with Dr Alexandra Dalu and Professor Weill on “How Food Can Impact Our Sleep”.
What makes you smile or brings you joy and why?
Every day, I embrace a new day, a new energy flow. Life is an ocean of opportunities. My personal projects and my family bring me joy and keep me grounded.
What is your daily wellness routine?
Every morning I have a 10 min breathing routine combining stretch and yoga. At night, before falling asleep I focus on the good things that happened during the day.
What is your favourite quote or affirmation?
The inspiring quote of the moment is: “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new”, Socrates.
Describe how you achieve mindfulness
Mindfulness is about living in the present, being in the here and now. It took me a while to understand this simple word. I just needed practice. When you practice and you feel it, there is no way back. Mindfulness is also about the power to be able to feel the sensations you have in your body.
What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness means understanding the holistic approach of life. Find your own way to wellness and then help others to find it.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration when I share ideas, when I debate with others and when I listen to people’s life stories. Also, all studies on neuroscience are an endless source of inspiration, especially when explained in the most simple way. This is the reason why I enjoy very much reading and/or listening to Joel de Rosnay, Deepak Chopra, etc. as they turn complex medical research into a very comprehensive approach.
What are your go-to wellness apps and/or podcasts? Why?
There are a few podcasts I like very much. “Les Conversations du Tigre”, on Le Tigre yogaplay with Elodie Garamond, Founder of Le Tigre Yoga Club; “Quelque chose de Vous”, from the very talented Virginie Servaes, vocal coach. We go through life experiences, it’s the essence of sharing and listening.
Books that changed your wellness perspective and why?
Super Genes by Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi — I have my personal signed copy — about the science of transformation and the power of our DNA. Also, Susan Oubari and Emily Veyretout’s book Breathwork: Breath to change. Susan Oubari is the founder of “Breathwork in Paris”.
Name three things for which you are grateful
I am grateful for being here, sharing my life with my family and the endless power of dreaming about beautiful projects.
Finally, what words of wisdom can you pass on?
Get surrounded by people that love you and that have a positive mindset. Love and smile to life every day.
